What a hell?
So, Portuguese government is shutting down hospitals, until 2012 3 more hospitals will be shut down, not to mention that maternities that used to be Public are now part of Privact Sectors, along with most of the public hospitals that are now being run by SAs (Sociedades Anonimas).
Honestly, I am not slightly surprised, a country that spends millions building football stadiums, that pays multimillionaire salaries to his administrators (in the Public Sector) is far less capable of thinking for the sake of the People instead of the money. Some say that in order to go up it needs to hit the bottom, if we are not already hitting the bottom for the past 5 years then I am too afraid to see whats next!

An option if you loose the Presidentials
Since Al Gore lost the Presidentials to Bush he has been dedicating his time to the Earth issues, Global Warming to be more precisely. After the Book, which I read it and found it as disturbing as beautiful, being a Speaker in Global Warming Conferences held a little bit all over the world, he enriched his campaign with music. Live Earth is Live Earth is a 24-hour, 7-continent series of 9 concerts taking place on 7/7/07 that will bring together more than 100 music artists and 2 billion people to trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis.
With shows in United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Brazil, China, South Africa, Japan and Germany where the top of the top music performances like AFI, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, The Police, Roger Waters, Sheryl Crow, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, , Duran Duran, Foo Fighters, Genesis, Keane, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others, hes indeed reaching peoples mind thorough music. Anyone can give his contribution for this global warming conscience act , prices are ranged from 99usd to 55 euros. times about 200 thousand applications just in United Kingdom, I believe that is making more money that Bush, and everyone still admires him for that!!
I wonder what Ms. Senegole Royal has been planning, save the white whale association?
And what will Blair do? Taking part of some humanitarian cause could help to clean his image towards the world? Naaa... He can simply be employed in some Bushs business in a top administrative position, which it seems rather logical due to the hard time that he can find job hunting!

An example for all the politicians?
Japanese minister commits suicide
Can you imagine if all the politicians caught in corruption cases, bad use of power situations, whatever decided to commit suicide?
We wouldn't have a Bush, a Portuguese government, a Blair... i think it would be quite boring, actually!

About the Abortion law in Portugal
Its actually shameful for me to post this, in the way that shows how much people don't have any idea about things that they fiercely fight against with, however, as much its shameful its comic
"They will kill the unprotected"
May God punishes the authors, that made and approve this law. I have read in a article that some of the babies are trowed into a bucket still alive and crying. God have mercy of our souls. Everyone can allege all the reasons to abort, but no one justifies such a crime"
Por Trindade, Ermesinde
(letter sent to a Portuguese newspaper regarding the recently approved abortion law)
Portugal, is known in Europe as a catholic country, as much as it might sound anti-patriotic so say so, Portugal has a shallowed catholic moral which is used to control the economy and the illiterate or fairly educated people.
The right wind party works side by side with the Portuguese catholic church to silence issues that they they fight to be forgotten.
The abortion referendum has fought it way through this censorship and silence through the years.
How many women had to lost their lives, had become sterile or with serious health problems because of this forced silence, because of this false morale.
People like this lady mentioned above, and like the movements that appealed for No to the legalization have infested small minded people with this fairy tails and yet, still have hope that Portugal will, eventually, be a 1st World country.

Poor country, rich president!
"Eduardo dos Santos, the President of Angola, is studying the acquisition of a brand new Boeing, a real flying palace. The model Boeing 746-400 has the cost of 100 millions of Euro. " (in portuguese)
How ironic, and at the same time so revolting, a country where children still starve, where hospitals still run out of medicines and materials to face the most urgent medical cases, and the President and his family have an idyllic lifestyle.
When will this discrepancies end up?

China's good intentions
"Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has rejected criticism that his country is only interested in Africa because of its huge wealth of raw materials."
in www.bbc.co.uk
Absolutely! It never really crossed my mind to think about such a thing, I mean... isn't China a Communist Country? Well, communists are know by being Anti-Capitalist, and despite all this bloom in Chinas economy its for the people, of course, they are trying to decrease the poverty in their country...
No, its unthinkable, National Geographic magazine has published some months ago that in each 10 persons in the world, one is a Chinese farmer. Does that ring a bell?
Isn't somehow weird that a country under a dictatorship, that mistreats their own people is suddenly trying to help the need countries in Africa?
Wouldn't it be much more logical if they would start developing and helping their own people? Call me skeptical, but I find it very very unconvincing.
